24-year-old Sally is a part time student working two jobs in wellington. She spends her free time looking to play, learn and socialize.

Jenny needs a way to socialize with friends in a comforting environment, one that has opportunities to be playful and hands on with the opportunity to share the experience with others.

Surprising Te Papa doesn’t provide a comforting, homely space for locals to share in experiences and socialize; a hub that captures wellingtons community or culture.

Couch surfer - six pack

Jenny is a 23-year-old who loves travelling, the outdoors and socialising. She's constantly moving so lives on a very tight budget in order to fund her travels. She enjoys immersing herself in a city; experiencing the culture and people through bars and parks rather than tourist destinations.
She enjoys connecting with people so trusts locals’ advice more than the institutions.

She needs a chance to connect and get to know other locals and travellers. But surprisingly Te Papa does not facilitate these new social interactions.

Nomad - coffee

Laura is a Kiwi millennial who spends half of her time in Wellington and the other half travelling. 
She likes to immerse herself in a city and discover the communities culture. When she returns home she likes to actively rediscover Wellington. She needs to feel empowered and independent to create her own journey through Te Papa. But surprisingly Te papa is more about feeding you information, it feels static and hasn’t changed since she was young, she has seen it all already.

Long distant relationship - Cup of tea

Sam is a Kiwi living overseas who often visits to see his girlfriend. He is an introvert and loves to escape from the busyness of work. He does this by exploring nature and discovering things by himself in his limited free time. He needs a place he can go thats approachable, where there are no expectations and he can chill with a small group of friends. Where he can feel engaged on a more intimate level. But surprisingly Te papa does not facilitate more intimate social interactions.
